About Danny Higginbotham
Danny is a former professional footballer turned commentator and pundit.
Danny's hugely successful football career spanned 25 years starting at Manchester United making his debut in 1997 as part of the famous Class of '92. Danny has experience at all levels of English football and European competitions with the likes of Derby, Southampton, Stoke and Sunderland to name a few. He has also been abroad with Royal Antwerp. In 2013 Danny made his full international debut for Gibraltar in a friendly against Slovakia.
After calling time on his playing career, he moved to his second passion, which is passing comment on the game he loves.
Danny’s television career sees him regularly
appear on Sky Sports, BT Sport, BBC’s
Football Focus, ITV, MUTV, NBC and the world-wide Premier League Channel providing expert analysis on the biggest games. Danny's also a regular on talkSPORT - where you'll hear him on either the Breakfast Show or Drive Time as well as describing what he's seeing when commentating on big football matches for the network.
He also writes four weekly columns for The Sun and has regularly written for The Independent, 24/7 Football magazine, The Sentinel and The Manchester Evening News.
