Kevin has established himself as an authority on music and showbiz, appearing on both radio and television worldwide. He has interviewed over 1700 different artists from the world of film, music and entertainment since he began his career at the BBC.

In 2014, Kevin was the regular UK contributor on Network 10 Australia's Wake Up show and continues to appear on Sky News and Five News. He's also appeared on ITV's Daybreak and narrates the Fun Kids radio series Nancy. He began 2015 on Australia's Sunrise breakfast TV show, reporting from London.

In January 2015, Kevin joined the Heart Wales line-up, presenting the Saturday afternoon show. Currently, Kevin can be found hosting the coveted Drivetime slot on weekdays for Heart Wales.

Before Heart, Kevin used to be the Showbiz Reporter for the Global Radio Network. His interviews were heard on stations like Capital, Heart, LBC across the UK.

Kevin presented The UK's Hit Music Chart Show for Virgin Radio Canada and various radio stations worldwide. He's also hosted several Meet The Filmmakers sessions at the Apple Store in London, including Pride for Lionsgate in 2014.

He hosted Spike Lee's UK premiere of the Michael Jackson Bad 25 documentary for Sony Music and in 2014, he was chosen to host Shakira's European album launch in Barcelona. And he was Rihanna's choice to host her 2010 album launch for Loud and two years later, hosted her UK Premiere for the Universal movie Battleship. Oh and he's also the only UK journalist to appear in the Katy Perry movie!

Kevin has also presented on Five's OK!TV, appeared on ITV2's Tweets of the Year, Five's 100 Celebrity Moments and reported on the Brit Awards for ITV’s This Morning. He’s also contributed to BBC News, BBC Word, BBC Three, Al-Jazeera, CNN, 5 Live and BBC Radio 2. In 2013 he covered the Eurovision Song Contest for BBC Wales.

Kevin was signed by Global Radio in 2009, as Capital FM's showbiz reporter and hosted the weekly Total Access Show. This followed a year presenting Kevin Hughes in the Evening on the Heart FM network and four years presenting one of the UK’s biggest commercial radio shows; Music Control for the One Network. The show reached an audience of 1.2m listeners across the UK.

In June 2009, as news of broke of Michael Jackson's death , Kevin was heard providing commentary live on Sky News to an audience of millions. He was the first UK journalist to react to the biggest showbiz story of the 21st Century. Kevin's subsequent reporting led him to present the tribute documentary King of Pop across the UK commercial radio network. The radio special won a silver at the New York Radio Awards in October 2010. His reports featured on outlets, worldwide.

But it was BBC Wales that gave Kevin his first career break. After winning the Radio 1 Student Presenter of the Year award, he was given his own Kevin Hughes weekday evening show on BBC Radio Wales. The Kevin Hughes, The Welsh Top 40 Show and Kevin Hughes on Saturday were recognised with several awards between 1998 and 2004. He also presented various television shows and specials.

Kevin has also produced several music documentaries and syndicated music interviews, hosted countless award shows and charity concerts.
