About Sophie Harris

Sophie is currently a professional footballer in the Women’s Championship for Southampton FC. Throughout her footballing career she has played for Arsenal Ladies where she was part of the team that won the WSL and the Continental Cup as well as experiencing Champions League football. Sophie has also played for the England Women’s Youth teams. After playing for several teams that include Leicester City FC and Brighton & Hove Albion FC. During her time at Brighton FC, she won FA Fans Player of the Month for her appearances including the match winning saves in the penalty shootout against her former WSL side. On her move to Leicester, she was part of the WSL Championship winning side.

Sophie has decided to retire from professional football and is making the next step in her career into broadcasting.

As well as her playing background Sophie holds a UEFA B qualification for both Outfield and Goalkeeping and will continue with her coaching post playing career. She wants to move into coaching because she gets to help the next inspiring generation during the start of their career and to reach the heights in which Women’s football has to offer.
